A couple of months ago I received a message about problem with speeding up time in Sims3.

I have had a look into this issue and it seems to have been a large problem only affecting some copies of the game!

There is talk suggesting that the issue has been fixed in a recent patch, but as I haven’t personally seen the problem myself I am unable to say that for certain. If you search google for the issue there are sites which offer possible manual fixes but I wouldn’t suggest to try any of these as they don’t seem correct after looking at my copy.

If you have a genuine problem with this try backing up your game save (copy the entire folder called “Electronic Arts”) located in “My Documents” and try uninstalling and reinstalling the game as it maybe caused by a bad install. If the problem persists then contact EA, who will be able to tell you what to do without messing up your game.

If you are unsure of how to contact EA turn to page 32 of the game guild (UK) and choose appropriately.

The results below are out of 15.

GUI:Design and Implementation – 14

Professional and Enterprise Development – 12

Web Programming with Servlets and JSP – 12 (really happy about that grade)

Software Development for Mobile Computing Applications – 11

Concurrent Programming in C# – 9 (this could have been higher if it wasn’t for the tutor who marked it)

Database Systems – 8

Windows Game Programming – 4 (don’t do games programming in your second year, if you didn’t do it in the first year)

Further Object-Oriented Programming – 4 (really don’t know what happened with this one! Time management around Christmas I think)

I’m not so impressed with the last two grades but at least I passed them (4 is a pass, just!), but the rest of it I couldn’t have possibly done any better.

Now I can enjoy working for IBM for the year and think about my final year of University nearer the time.

I’ve been playing The Sims 3 for the last week, and I have got to say it is probably the best game I have ever played!
I will admit that there are some bits I am a little disappointed about, such as the amount of items has been reduced significantly. I know you can buy them on the store but I refuse to pay nearly £12 for 35 items, when I could get 60 items for less with Sims 2. EA stop ripping off your customers!
In terms of game play however, it is much better the Sims have longer lives so it might actually be possible to achieve their lifelong want. Also the jobs are much better; more interaction means that I’m not sitting around half the time waiting for the work day to end. Also having the promotion based on what they do at work is a great idea, how many people have to go read a book about cleaning or play the guitar to make them better at their job! NO ONE! Well done EA for sorting that out, it was getting to be a little annoying, especially when you got the Sim past half way on a skill, because it took forever.

The new creation tools that Sims 3 has are fantastic, you can practically create whatever you want, however it takes time to get to grips with this; I spent about 3 hours making my Sim perfect and endless amount of time decorating the house and furniture.

All in all I am very impressed, would definitely recommend to anyone, even if you say you don’t like the Sims, I think you would like this!

Take a look at this video if you’re still not convinced:
